Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8202399A1] Novel thermoplastic molding compositions comprising a polyester-carbonate polymer and graphite fibers. The compositions possess improved rigidity and heat distortion temperature properties with the addition of 0.5% to about 45% by weight of graphite fibers. In an example, a polyester-carbonate was prepared from bisphenol A, terephthalaloyl dichloride, isophthaloyl dichloride and phosgene. Graphite fibers were added to the above polymer in the amount of 10%by weight.
