[origin: WO8202359A1] A device (64, 66, 68, 70) for exercising a living hinge (14) of an article and/or closing a lid (10) of a cap (12) while the article or cap is in a mold for forming the article or cap. The device includes a finger (78) which slides between the mold sections, and, in the process, engages a portion of the article or the lid (10), rotates the portion or lid (10) about the hinge (14), and in the case of the cap, snaps the lid shut. In an alternate preferred embodiment, when the finger (120) reaches a predetermined point it pivots toward the female mold section to snap the lid (10) tightly shut.

Un dispositif (64, 66, 68, 70) pour essayer une charniere (14) d'un article et/ou fermer un couvercle (10) d'un bouchon (12), l'article et le bouchon se trouvant dans un moule de formation de l'article ou du bouchon. Le dispositif comprend un doigt (78) qui coulisse entre les sections du moule et, dans le procede, engage une portion de l'article ou le couvercle (10), fait tourner la portion ou couvercle (10) autour de la charniere (14), et dans le cas du bouchon, ferme le couvercle par pression. Dans un autre mode prefere de realisation, lorsque le doigt (120) atteint un point predetermine, il pivote vers la section femelle du moule pour fermer hermetiquement le couvercle (10) par pression.
