In a known device, 27 cuboid elements from three categories of different shapes can be displaced around a central body which has six bolts, said bolts being aligned in each case in pairs in the three dimensional axes. Rotations are only possible about the three dimensional axes by 90, 180, 270 and 360 DEG . Exchange of the cuboid elements can only take place within the individual categories. This means that the variation possibilities are reduced. According to a first solution of the invention, a registering sphere 1 consists of twenty truncated pyramid-shaped triangular elements 4a-4t, which are joined together to form a shell and can be displaced on forced guide paths on a spherical central body 3. The division of the shell into twenty equilateral spherical triangles 4a- 4t results in six axes of rotation 10a-10f with twelve pivot points 11a-11l. By this means, in each case five shell elements, e.g. 4a-4e, can be rotated by 72, 144, 216, 288 or 360 DEG at every pivot point 11a- 11l. Bei einer bekannten Vorrichtung sind 27 Würfelelemente aus drei unterschiedlich geformten Kategorien um einen Zentrumskörper verlagerbar, der sechs Bolzen besitzt, welche jeweils paarweise in den drei Raumachsen ausgerichtet sind. Drehungen sind nur um die drei Raumachsen um 90, 180, 270 und 360° möglich. Ein Austausch der Würfelelemente kann nur innerhalb der einzelnen Kategorien erfolgen. Dadurch verminderte Variationsmöglichkeiten. Gemäß einer ersten Lösung der Erfindung besteht eine Registrierkugel 1 aus zwanzig zu einer Schale zusammengefügten pyramidenstumpfförmigen Dreieckselementen 4a-4t, die auf Zwangsführungsbahnen auf einem kugelförmigen Zentrumskörper 3 verlagerbar sind. Die Aufteilung der Schale in zwanzig gleichseitige sphärische Dreiecke 4a-4t ergibt sechs Drehachsen 10a-10f mit zwölf Drehpunkten 11a-11l. Dadurch können an jedem Drehpunkt 11a-11l jeweils fünf Schalenelemente, z. B. 4a-4e um 72, 144, 216, 288 oder 360° gedreht werden. Eine zweite Lösung sieht raumkonform ausgebildete pyramiden- oder pyramidenstumpfförmige Dreieckselemente 4a-4t vor, deren Mittelsenkrechten 8 in einem gemeinsamen Schnittpunkt 9 zusammentreffen. Die Zwangsführungsbahnen werden in den plan aneinanderliegenden Seitenflächen 5 der Dreieckselemente 4a-4t vorgesehenen Führungsnuten 31 und in die Führungsnuten 31 eingreifenden Führungskörpern, z. B. 35, gebildet.
