Hair dryer comprising a tubular housing, a resistor and a motor fan unit adapted so as to create, in the housing, a flow of air passing over the resistor. According to the invention, the housing comprises a rear section (30) and a front section (32) which are assembled together by means of an elastic snapping action; the motor fan unit and the resistor (12) are mounted on the rear section (30); the front section (32) slips over the resistor (12) which, after assembly of the two sections, is thus located inside the front section (32). The invention is applicable to very lightweight hand-held hair dryers. <IMAGE>

Sèche-cheveux comprenant un boîtier tubulaire, une résistance, et un groupe motoventilateur adapté à créer dans le boîtier un courant d'air passant sur la résistance. Selon l'invention, le boîtier comprend un tronçon postérieur (30) et un tronçon antérieur (32) qui s'assemblent l'un à l'autre par encliquetage élastique; le groupe motoventilateur et la résistance (12) sont montés sur le tronçon postérieur (30); le tronçon antérieur (32) vient coiffer la résistance (12) qui, après l'assemblage des deux tronçons, est ainsi située à l'intérieur du tronçon antérieur (32). L'invention est applicable aux sèche-cheveux très légers tenus à la main.
