[origin: EP0069312A2] The invention relates to an extension massage couch with a couch board, which has holding devices for the patients and which can be moved into an inclined position. In order to set to any desired inclined positions, one end of the couch board can be raised as far as the vertical position by means of an elevating mechanism. The end which is in each case not raised essentially maintains its height. At least one end or at least the legs at one end of the couch board, and namely those which are arranged at the end which is in each case not raised, are designed in such a way that they can roll and can be folded or drawn in. For this purpose, in a preferred embodiment, in front of the foot- or head-side face of the couch board there is arranged approximately at the centre a column which can be moved up and down and at whose lower end a wheel shaft with wheels is secured. The couch board itself is provided with holding elements for the legs, feet, kneecaps, hips, pelvis, shoulders and/or the head (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
