[origin: EP0069416A2] The carburettor for a four stroke engine has a central block (1) with a central reservoir (30) which maintains the fuel at a constant head. A ring of holes (6) in the form of venturis surrounds the reservoir. Air flowing through the venturi draws in fuel through pipes (12) connected to the central reservoir. The venturis can be blocked off by a rotatable disc (30) mounted below the block. This disc has a number of kidney shaped slots at the same radius as the venturis (6). Rotating the disc enables a progressively increasing number of venturis to be brought into use.
