In the projectile, to reduce the dead-load fraction, preferably peripheral parts, for example a spacer 24 located on the same side as the tip, are produced as carriers for a detonator 26 and/or a tail- unit carrier 28 from a composite material which has hollow glass and/or quartz balls which are held together by a matrix and the enveloping material of which forms an individual phase. To assist the hollow-charge and explosive effect, the hollow balls can contain a filling of active material which is released when the ball envelopes are broken. <IMAGE>

Bei dem Geschoß sind zum Verringern des Totlastanteils, vorzugsweise periphere, Teile, beispielsweise ein spitzenseitiger Abstandshalter 24 als Träger für einen Zünder 26 und/oder ein Leitwerksträger 28, aus einem Verbundwerkstoff gefertigt, welcher von einer Matrix zusammengehaltene Hohlkugeln aus Glas und/oder Quarz aufweist, deren Hüllenwerkstoff jeweils eine individuelle Phase bildet. Zum Unterstützen der Hohlladungs- und Sprengwirkung können die Hohlkugeln eine Wirkstofffüllung enthalten, welche beim Bruch der Kugelhüllen freigesetzt wird.
