[origin: US4539450A] A disconnect switch has a fixed tubular contact, an associated fixed auxiliary contact connected thereto, and a movable tubular contact which is guided in a stationary outer housing. The movable tubular contact contains a movable auxiliary contact. Both movable contacts are separately movable into connection with the fixed contacts. To enable the switch to be used for higher voltages while achieving short pre-breakdown times and using a drive which operates at normal speed, the movable auxiliary contact is at first latched against movement, compressing a spring. The movable auxiliary contact is then released to actuate the switch. To this end, each end of the movable auxiliary contact is provided with a catch which can be engaged by a cooperating pawl located at either end of the travel of the auxiliary contact. A control member is longitudinally movable on the movable auxiliary contact. A spring is mounted between the control member and each of the catches. The control member is coupled to the movable tubular contact via a reduction drive.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Trennschalter mit einem feststehenden, rohrförmigen Kontaktstück und einem bewegbaren, rohrförmigen Schaltstift, der in einem feststehenden Außenteil geführt ist und in seinem Innern einen Hilfsschaltstift enthält. Um einen solchen Schalter auch bei höheren Spannungen unter Erzielung kurzer Vorüberschlagszeiten und unter Verwendung eines normal schnell arbeitenden Antriebs einsetzen zu können, trägt der Schaltstift (1) an seinem dem Kontaktstück (3) zugewandten vorderen Ende eine Klinke (22), die mit einem Ansatz (6) am vorderen Ende (5) des Hilfsschaltstiftes (4) zusammenwirkt. Am Außenteil (2) ist eine weitere Klinke (23) gehalten, die mit einem Ansatz (7) am hinteren Ende (8) des Hilfsschaltstiftes (4) zusammenwirkt, und am Schaltstift (1) ist ein Steuerelement (9) längsbewegbar angeordnet, zwischen dem und den Ansätzen (6, 7) jeweils eine Feder (19, 20) liegt. Das Steuerelement (9) ist über einen übersetzenden Antrieb (13) mit dem Schaltstift (1) verbunden. Die Erfindung ist vor allem bei Trennschaltern für metallgekapselte Schaltanlagen anwendbar.
