In a vibrator having two unbalanced shafts (12, 44) arranged in parallel, a second unbalanced shaft (44) is driven at one end and bears at the other end a gearwheel (42). The gearwheel (42) is in engagement with an intermediate gearwheel (36) which is rotatably mounted at one end of a first unbalanced shaft (12) and intermeshes with a second gearwheel (34) of the same diameter as the gearwheel (42). A first gearwheel (26) is rigidly connected in coaxial fashion to the second gearwheel (34) and is attached to a rocker (24) which can be swivelled about the first unbalanced shaft (12) and is in engagement with a pinion (22) which drives this unbalanced shaft (12). The unbalanced shafts (12, 44) rotate in opposite directions at identical speeds. In order to change the relative phase position of the unbalanced shafts (12, 44), the rocker (24) bears on the arm facing away from the second gearwheel (34) a switching lever (60), in the event of the adjustment of which the second gearwheel (34) and thus the first unbalanced shaft (12) is rotated with respect to the second unbalanced shaft (44). <IMAGE>

Bei einem Umwuchtrüttler mit zwei parallel angeordneten Unwuchtwellen (12, 44) wird eine zweite Unwuchtwelle (44) an einem Ende angetrieben und trägt am anderen Ende ein Zahnrad (42). Das Zahnrad (42) ist im Eingriff mit einem an einem Ende einer ersten Unwuchtwelle (12) drehbar gelagerten Zwischenzahnrad (36), das mit einem zweiten Zahnrad (34) von gleichem Durchmesser wie das Zahnrad (42) kämmt. Mit dem zweiten Zahnrad (34) ist ein erstes Zahnrad (26) achsgleich fest verbunden, das an einer um die erste Unwuchtwelle (12) schwenkbaren Schwinge (24) angebracht und mit einem diese Unwuchtwelle (12) antreibenden Ritzel (22) in Eingriff ist. Die Unwuchtwellen (12, 44) laufen gegensinnig mit gleichen Geschwindigkeiten um. Zur Veränderung der relativen Phasenlage der Unwuchtwellen (12, 44) trägt die Schwinge (24) an dem vom zweiten Zahnrad (34) abgewandten Arm einen Schalthebel (60), bei dessen Verstellung das zweite Zahnrad (34) und damit die erste Unwuchtwelle (12) gegenüber der zweiten Unwuchtwelle (44) verdreht wird.
