1. A clamp having flat clamping faces and comprising a guide bar (10), a stationary arm (12) arranged on said bar and extending transversely thereto and a sliding arm (14) guided for displacement on the bar and extending approximately parallel to the stationary arm, also comprising a female screw thread for a screw spindle (16) extending approximately parallel to the guide bar (10) in a first of the two arms (12, 14), in particular the sliding arm (14), as well as two shoes (22, 24) having clamping faces, a first one (22) of the shoes being arranged on the second (12) of the two arms (12, 14) and a second one (24) of the shoes being arranged on a plate-like cap (20) mounted, in particular rotatably, on the screw spindle (16), the two shoes having facing clamping surfaces (70) and being tiltable about axes perpendicular to the plane of the two arms (12, 14), characterized in that the two shoes (22, 24) have a sheet metal member (30) as well as a plastic shell (50) accommodating the sheet metal member and forming the respective clamping surface (70), and that the sheet metal member (30) of the first shoe (22) has an opening (74) for pivoting on the second arm (12) and the sheet metal member (30) of the second shoe (24) has at least one slot (40, 42) for insertion of an edge region of the cap (20).

Flächig spannende Schraubzwinge mit einer Führungsschiene, an der ein sich quer zu ihr erstreckender Festbügel angeordnet sowie ein hierzu ungefähr paralleler Gleitbügel verschiebbar geführt ist, mit einem Muttergewinde für eine ungefähr parallel zur Führungsschiene verlaufende Schraubspindel in einem ersten der beiden Bügel, insbesondere dem Gleitbügel, sowie mit zwei Spannflächenschuhen, von denen der eine am zweiten der beiden Bügel und der andere an einer auf der Schraubspindel insbesondere drehbar angebrachten, tellerförmigen Kappe mit einander zugewandten Spannflächen und um zur Ebene der beiden Bügel senkrechten Achsen kippbar angeordnet ist. Um eine solche Schraubzwinge billiger herstellen zu können wird sie so ausgebildet, dass die beiden Spannflächenschuhe ein Blechteil sowie eine dieses aufnehmende, die jeweilige Spannfläche bildende Kunststoffschale aufweisen und daß das Blechteil des einen Spannflächenschuhs eine Öffnung zum Anleken am zweiten Bügel und das Blechteil des anderen Spannflächenschuhs mindestens einen Schlitz zum Einschieben eines Randbereichs der Kappe aufweist.
