1. A process for the production of bonding fibers by combining a polymer dispersion, containing an anionic or nonionic dispersant, with an aqueous solution of a cationic precipitant, accompanied by mechanical formation of fibers, wherein the dispersion employed has thread-forming properties and either a) has a viscosity which increases under shear stress and therefore thickens automatically under the conditions of fiber formation, or b) contains, as thickener, from 0.05 to 10% by weight, based on the dispersion, of a high molecular weight polymer or copolymer of acrylic or methacrylic acid in the form of its alkali metal salts, high molecular weight polyacrylamide and/or high molecular weight polyethylene oxide.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Bindefasern durch Zusammenbringen von anionische oder nicht ionische Dispergiermittel enthaltenden Polymerisatdispersionen mit wäßrigen Lösungen kationischer Fällmittel (kationischen Fällbädern) unter mechanischer Faserbildung, bei dem man als Dispersionen solche einsetzt, die fadenziehende Eigenschaften haben, indem sie entweder a) unter den Bedingungen der Faserbildung selbst verdicken oder b) 0,05 bis 10 Gew.% - bezogen auf die Dispersionen - an hochmolekularen Polymerisaten oder Copolymerisaten der (Meth)acrylsäure in Form ihrer Alkalimetallsalze, hochmolekularem Polyacrylamid und/oder hochmolekularem Polyethylenoxid zugemischt enthalten.
