[origin: EP0071144A1] A hinge for attaching a vehicle door to the body of a vehicle, has a hinge pin (6) carried by a plate (1) which is mounted on the body of the vehicle, and two coaxial apertured bosses (14, 15) carried by a plate (10) mounted on the vehicle door. The hinge pin (6) has two parallel flat surfaces (9) defining a portion of reduced width and one of the bosses (15) has a convergent slot (16) communicating with the central aperture (18) of the said boss so that the pin (6) may be introduced into the aperture of the boss laterally by forcing the pin through the slot, the door plate (10) being then moved downwards to an assembled hinged position.
