Process for gluing and pressing carton blanks, according to which the carton blanks are glued, are aligned, are pressed and are transported to a subsequent processing station, characterised in that the carton blanks (27, 27', 27") provided with glue are supplied to a collector station formed as conveying means (23 - 26, 30) variable in height, are positioned directly one above the other at continuously or stepwise adjustable limiting stops (28) on the worktable (22) and are pressed onto the conveying means by holding-down elements (46) so that the pressed glue folder spots will not release, that subsequent to having arranged a predetermined number of stacked carton blanks the conveying means (23 - 26, 30) are operated and the stack of carton blanks (27, 27', 27") is moved on the conveying means, that dependent on the movement of the conveying means the carton blanks subsequent to their arriving at the pressing station (2) are automatically pressed, and that after completing the pressing operation the pressed blanks are automatically removed from the machine by the conveying means.
