Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0072425A2] The article produced by this process is characterised in that different plush surfaces consisting of different materials are arranged in particular patterns solely by a selection of the latch needles producing the basic article. In the particular pattern surfaces, only the material provided for forming plush loops forms stitches with a basic yarn and the yarn floating of all the further basic and plush yarns provided in the same pattern series are anchored in the basic article as tuck stitches by predetermined tying. With a selection device known per se for the needle control, therefore, patterned plush articles with a high polar density and with a basic article compressed by the basic and plush yarns can be produced with a high degree of production reliability. Relief effects can also additionally be achieved by omitting plush yarns in at least one group of systems. <IMAGE>
