In order to make the width of the gap exactly adjustable and to be able to exactly maintain such an adjustment even over relatively long operating times, in each case bearings (4, 5) assigned to each other in pairs are connected to one another by means of spacing elements which are provided, for the purpose of length adjustment, with devices which are driveable as a function of operating variables of the roller mill.
