Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0072668A2] Each carrier (20) of a round of ammunition in a train (18) of rounds carriers is coupled to the next adjacent carrier by pivot means (42, 44, 46) capable of unrestricted rotation about an axis transverse to the length of the carried round. The train passes from a stationary supply (16) to a gun (12) mounted for rotation in train. An orientation mechanism (24) rotates in train with the gun and has a cam (68, 80) which intercepts and orients each carrier its carried round by rotation by the respective pivot means into a orientation which is determined by the orientation in train of the gun.
