Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0072958A2] 1. Optical equipment for armoured vehicles having a rotatable and stabilized turret which accommodates day-and-night-vision devices (9, 10) as well as reconnaissance equipment and in which deflecting mirrors (6, 7) are arranged in the form of a rim corresponding to the position of an observer (20) sitting on an observer's seat (21), of which mirrors one elevatable deflecting mirror (7) pointing in the main observation direction (11) is provided with a relatively large field of view and is stabilized in the elevational plane, characterised in that the day-and-night-vision devices (9, 10) as well as the sighting devices together with the deflecting mirror (7) for the main observation direction form a replaceable compact unit (8) which in addition accommodates an actuating system as well as elements for the measuring, regulating and control electronics (13) of the devices accommodated in the unit (8), the parts (7', 9', 10') of the day-and-night-vision devices (9, 10), of the sighting devices as well as of the deflecting mirror (7) determining the main observation direction (11) are arranged to be elevatable and stabilizable in the unit (8) by means of a common pivot axis (12).
