[origin: WO8202994A1] Apparatus for feeding granular material into a gas stream, for example seed or fertilizer into multiple airstreams of an agricultural vehicle, includes a receptacle (28) for granular material, a duct (26) for a gas stream, and a pair of resiliently compressible surfaces (33) which contact or almost contact to define a nip (40) between them. The surfaces (33) may be provided by contra-rotatable rollers (32) and are disposed so that granular material may pass from one side of the nip (40) through a port (52) into the duct (26), and are movable into the nip (40) from the other side. The apparatus further includes metering means (50, 51) defining a controllable outlet from the receptacle (28) and positioned with respect to the nip (40) for feeding granular material into the nip (40) from said other side at an adjustable controlled rate. Also disclosed is a distributor (70) for gas-entrained granular material which includes in a diverging housing (102) a restrictor (118, 141) which converges transversely of the housing (102) towards its centre line, and one or more inclined surfaces (112, 144, 152) to deflect the granular material symmetrically through the restriction (118, 141).

Dispositif permettant l'introduction d'un materiau granulaire dans un courant de gaz, par exemple des semences ou un fertilisant dans les courants d'air multiples d'un engin agricole, comprenant un reservoir (28) pour le materiau granulaire, une conduite (26) pour un courant de gaz, et une paire de surfaces (33) comprimables de maniere elastique qui sont en contact ou presque pour definir une ligne de pincement (40). Les surfaces (33) peuvent etre pourvues de rouleaux (32) tournant en sens inverse et sont disposees de maniere telle que le materiau granulaire puisse passer d'un cote de la ligne de pincement (40) au travers d'un orifice (52) dans la conduite (26), et sont mobiles dans la ligne de pincement (40) de l'autre cote. Le dispositif comprend en outre des moyens de reglage (50, 51) definissant une sortie reglable depuis le reservoir (28) et positionnes par rapport a la ligne de pincement (40) de maniere a permettre l'introduction d'un materiau granulaire dans la ligne de pincement (40) depuis l'autre cote a une vitesse commandee reglable.
