[origin: US4485003A] A process for producing liquid hydrocarbons from coal comprises treating comminuted coal at 380 DEG to 600 DEG C. and 260 to 450 bar with water in a high pressure reactor to form a charged supercritical gas phase and a coal residue. Simultaneously with the water treatment, hydrogenation with hydrogen takes place in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst is selected from the group consisting of NaOH, KOH, Na4SiO4, NaBO4, or KOB2. Then, the gas phase is divided into several fractions by lowering its pressure and temperature. Energy and/or gas is generated from the coal residue.

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung flüssiger Kohlenwasserstoffe aus Kohle vorgeschlagen, bei dem zerkleinerte Kohle bei 380 bis 600°C und 260 bis 450 bar mit Wasser in einem Hochdruckreaktor 8 behandelt wird und bei dem gleichzeitig oder unmittelbar nach der Wasserbehandlung bei gleichem Druck und gleicher Temperatur in Gegenwart eines Katalysators eine Hydrierung mit Wasserstoff erfolgt. Danach wird die Gasphase durch Senkung des Drucks und der Temperatur in den Entspannungsventilen 14, 19, 45 und 30 bzw. den Wärmeaustauschern 15, 20, 25 und 31 in ihre Bestandteile zerlegt, die in mehreren Fraktionen anfallen. Aus dem Kohlerückstand wird Energie und/oder Gas gewonnen.
