1. Bistable electromagnetic display devices having each a rotable armature with a built-in polarising magnet (5), whereby the display surface of each armature is formed by the one or the other lateral surface (6, 7) of a three-cornered prism rotable around the longitudinal axis (Y), the polarising magnet (5) is attached within the prism in the area of the longitudinal axis (Y) and the control of the armature from one position to the other position is performed by an electromagnet, characterized in that the horse-shoe shaped polarising magnet (5) embracing a shaft (4) positioned in the longitudinal axis (Y) is formed such, that either one pole (N) or the other pole (S) is located close by near at hand of the end of the pin formed core (2) of the electromagnet projecting into the three cornered prism.

Mehrere bistabile elektromagnetische Schauzeichen bilden eine Anzeige-Matrixblock. wobei jedes Schauzeichen ein Dreikantprisma mit zwei Anzeigeoberflächen enthält. Jedes der Dreikantprismen kann um eine Achse geschwenkt werden, wobei die Schwenkbewegung mittels eines hufeisenförmigen Polarisationsmagneten (5) und einer Setz- und Löschspule (1) mit einem weichmagnetischen Kern (2) bewirkt wird. Mit Hilfe von elektrischen Impulsen, welche auf die Spule (1) gegeben werden, kann die eine oder die andere Anzeige-Oberfläche eines Schauzeichens zur Anzeige gebracht werden.
