Manuel device for filling cigarette tubes, particularly cigarette filter tubes, consisting of a housing (2) with a tobacco compressing chamber arranged in the longitudinal direction of this housing, a lid-like compressing bar (7) associated with this compressing chamber in a lid (3) which covers the housing (2) and can be hinged about an axle (4) perpendicular to the compressing chamber, and a sliding ejector (5) supporting a ladle (8) for pushing a compressed length of tobacco into a paper tube which is clamped on a pipe socket (6) at the exit of the compressing chamber, characterised in that the housing (2) is arranged so as to be pivotable about the axle (4), that there is provided a bottom part (1) which can be locked together with the housing (2) and supports the axle (4) and which has guide angles (13) for locking the ejector (5) during its longitudinal movement and a clamping element (15) for a tube which is mounted on the pipe socket (6) connected to the housing (2), that there are provided in the bottom part (1) springs (14) which bear against the housing (2) from below, and that grooves (10) which cooperate with projections (9) on the lid (3) are provided in the sliding ejector (5) for locking the lid (3) and housing (2) together.
