Manual device for filling cigarette tubes, particularly cigarette filter tubes, consisting of a housing (1) with a tobacco compressing chamber (2) arranged in the longitudinal direction thereof, a lid-like compressing bar (5) associated with this compressing chamber (2) in a lid (4) which covers the housing (1) and is hinged about an axis (6), and a pusher supporting a ladle (7) for ejecting a compressed length of tobacco into a paper tube which is clamped on a spout (9) at the exit of the compressing chamber (2) by means of a clamping device which can be operated by the lid (4), characterised in that the ejector is in the form of a frame-like handle section (10) which extends around the housing (1) and the lid (4) and to which the ladle (7) is connected, preferably on the underside of the housing (1).
