Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0074122A1] A fin element for a heat exchanger has alternate fins A and B in parallel planes in a longitudinal central zone 10. Edge zones 12 are bent at obtuse included angles with respect to the parallel planes. The fin element is formed from a metallic strip of material by pressing the fins A and B in opposite directions and allowing the overall width of the strip to reduce so that the finished element has a constant thickness.
