Multi-purpose cleaning implement (1) for surfaces such as windows, floors, et cetera, having a wiper head (2) with plug-on handle (3) which carries a resilient squeegee blade (4) at its end and is additionally provided with a device (5) for the selective housing of different cleaning tools (6) (sponge, brush, for example), characterised in that beside a housing channel (9) for the squeegee blade (4), a sliding shaft (10) oriented approximately parallel thereto is provided for the cleaning tool (6) to be selectively housed, whilst the active part (16) of the cleaning tool (6) is retained in a retaining part (18, 34, 32) and the latter clampingly in the sliding shaft (10).
