The two-part safety helmet (11) completely surrounds the head and has a window which can be closed, if appropriate, by means of a transparent cover, the two parts of which helmet are connected to each other, on the one hand, in an articulated manner by means of a hinge and, on the other hand, can be fixedly connected to each other by means of closure elements. The separation line (14) between the two helmet parts (12, 13) in the rear region (15) of the helmet (11) lies in a preferably curved plane X-X which starts from the lower edge (16) of the helmet behind the vertical main plane in the transverse direction (17) and passes through a point (18) which lies between the region around the rear apex (19) and the upper apex (20) of the helmet. <IMAGE>

Zweiteiliger, den Kopf vollständig umschließender Sturz- und Schutzhelm (11) mit einem, gegebenenfalls mittels einer transparenten Abdeckscheibe verschließbaren Fenster, dessen beide Teile einerseits mittels eines Scharniers gelenkig miteinander verbunden und andererseits mittels Verschlußelementen fest miteinander verbindbar sind, bei welchem die Trennlinie (14) zwischen den beiden Helmteilen (12,13) im hinteren Bereich (15) des Helms (11) in einer vorzugsweise gekrümmten Ebene X-X liegt, welche von dem unteren Helmrand (16) hinter der vertikalen Hauptebene in Querrichtung (17) ausgehend durch einen Punkt (18) hindurchgeht, welcher zwischen dem Bereich um den hinteren Helmscheitelpunkt (19) und dem oberen Helmscheitelpunkt (20) liegt.
