Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8203374A1] Transport tank units (10) particularly suited for transporting corrosive fluids comprising a plurality of relatively small diameter tanks (12-15) ganged together in parallel relation on a support such as a truck chassis (11) or pallet (24). Each tank (12-15) preferably comprises a seamless tubular liner (19) formed of a thermoplastic material. e.g. a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene, surrounded by a sleeve of glass fiber fabric, about which there is a reinforcing layer (12a) comprising continuous glass fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin. e.g. a polyester resin. The reinforcing layer (12a) has sufficient thickness to provide the tank with the necessary structural rigidity and strength. Each tank may be provided with a pressure equalizer tube (30) connecting the tank headspace at opposite ends of the tank to minimize stresses on the tank liner (19) caused by sloshing of the fluid in the tank.

Unites de reservoirs de transport (10) indiquees particulierement pour le transport de fluides corrosifs comprenant une pluralite de reservoirs (12-15) de diametres relativement petits, relies en parallele sur un support tel qu'un chassis de camion (11) ou palette (24). Chaque reservoir (12-15) comprend de preference une chemise tubulaire sans soudure (19) formee d'un materiau thermoplastique. par exemple un copolymere de tetrafluoroethylene et d'hexafluoropropylene, entoure d'un manchon de tissu en fibre de verre, autour duquel est disposee une couche de renforcement (12a) comprenant des fibres de verre continues impregnees d'une resine thermodurcissable, par exemple une resine de polyester. La couche de renforcement (12a) possede une epaisseur suffisante pour assurer la rigidite et la resistance structurelles necessaires du reservoir. Chaque reservoir peut etre pourvu d'un tube egalisateur de pression (30) reliant l'espace principal du reservoir aux extremites opposees du reservoir pour reduire au minimum les efforts sur la chemise du reservoir (19) provoques par les chocs du fluide a l'interieur du reservoir.
