Straightedge clamp for fixing a straightedge in the case of walls which are to be built up or provided with clinker bricks having a spacer (8), which can be connected to the straightedge (5) and to which is connected a fastening plate (10) by means of a connecting retainer (9), the connecting retainer (9) being connected, so as to be adjustable in its longitudinal axis, to the spacer (8) so as to be adjustable in the longitudinal axis of the latter, and the plane of the fastening plate (10) extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the connecting retainer (9), characterised by : a) a metal profile as a straightedge (5), having a slot-like opening (12) extending in the longitudinal axis of the straightedge, b) the spacer being designed as a spacer stud (8), c) the connecting retainer being designed as a connecting strap (9), d) a threaded area (14) with lock nuts (15, 16) on the spacer stud (8) and a slot hole (17) in the connecting strap (9), which can be fastened by means of the lock nuts (15, 16), e) a clamping plate (11) arranged on the end of the spacer stud (8) opposite the connecting area (14), and a threaded area for accommodating a clamping nut for fixing the spacer (8) in the slot-like opening (12) of the straightedge (5).
