Abstract (en)

The problem posed consists in reducing as far as possible the physical drawbacks and psychological effects associated with excessive perspiration without, however, preventing this natural perspiration. According to the invention, this result is achieved in that the absorbent composite used as sock consists of a combination of two superposed materials, the first being formed partly from defibrated leather fibres and partly from synthetic fibres, these various fibres being bonded together by the addition of a resinous binder, the second being formed of an absorbent felt with a high retention capacity, the two materials being assembled over their entire surface by means of spots of adhesive (3) and peripheral sewing (4). The invention is applicable to all winter or summer footwear. <IMAGE>

Abstract (fr)

Le problème posé consiste à réduire, autant que faire se peut, les inconvénients physiques et les incidences psychologiques liés à la transpiration excessive, sans s'opposer néanmoins à cette transpiration naturelle. Selon l'invention, ce résultat est atteint en ce que le complexe absorbant utilisé comme première de propreté est constitué d'un composé de deux matériaux superposés, le premier étant formé en partie de fibres de cuir défibrillé et en partie de fibres synthétiques, ces différentes fibres étant liées entre elles par l'addition d'un liant résineux, le second étant, quant à lui, formé d'un feutre absorbant à grand pouvoir de rétention, les deux matériaux étant assemblés sur toute leur surface par un collage ponctuel (3) et une couture périphérique (4). L'invention est applicable à tous articles chaussants d'hiver ou d'été.
