[origin: US4475575A] The guide channel of the catching mechanism is provided with a recess into which the foremost projectile can be positioned at the upper end. The projectile is thus permitted to be moved into an upright position parallel to the direction of ejection. Further, the ejector is able to strike against the foremost projectile during ejection over a relatively large surface area so as to reduce the stress of the impact forces on the projectile.
