Abstract (en)
Machine dishwashing and rinsing compositions are provided having improved foam control properties by inclusion of an effective amount of a special group of polymers which consists of polyelectrolytes containing cationic charges having a cationic charge to carbon atom in the backbone ratio of from 0.03 to 0.5 and a molecular weight in the range of from 5.10<3> to 5.10<5>. A typical example of such a polyelectrolyte is the copolymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone and quaternized diethylaminoethylmethacrylate.
