Abstract (en)

The method according to the invention consists in introducing into a combustion chamber (1) and in depositing on an inclined vibrating grate (2) a predetermined quantity of loosely divided material or fuel, in injecting into said chamber an oxidnat air current, the flow rate of which is predetermined and depends on the nature and quantity of fuel introduced into said chamber, in modulating, as a function of the temperature prevailing in the chamber (1) and/or of the utilisation temperature of the combustion gases, the introduction of the material and the injection of the oxidant air so that combustion is always oxidising and that its temperature is lower than that necessary for the melting of certain fuel components. The apparatus for application of the process is characterised essentially in that it is equipped with a system for regulating the temperature of the chamber (18, 18A, 19, 20, 21) and/or the utilisation temperature of the combustion gases, which detects the variation of these temperatures in relation to reference temperatures and acts on the supply means (3) and on the blowing means (4) in order that the combustion is always oxidising and in order that the temperature is lower than that necessary for the melting of certain fuel components. Application: incineration of agricultural by-products, for example maize cobs. <IMAGE>

Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à introduire dans une chambre de combustion (1) et à déposer sur une grille (2) vibrante inclinée une quantité prédéterminée de matières divisées ou combustible, à injecter dans la dite chambre un courant d'air comburant dont le débit est prédéterminé et dépend de la nature et de la quantité de combustible introduite dans la dite chambre, à moduler en fonction de la température régnant dans la chambre (1) et/ou de la température d'utilisation des gaz de combustion l'introduction de la matière et l'injection de l'air comburant en sorte que la combustion soit toujours oxydante et que sa température soit inférieure à celle necessaire pour la fonte de certains constituant de combustible. L'installation pour l'application du procédé se caractérise essentiellement en ce qu'elle est dotée d'un système de régulation de la température de la chambre (18, 18A, 19, 20, 21) et/ou de la température d'utilisation des gaz de combustion détectant la variation de ces températures par rapport à des températures de consigne et agissant sur le moyen d'approvisionnement (3), sur le moyen de soufflage (4) pour que la combustion soit toujours oxydante et pour que la température soit inférieure à celle necessaire pour la fonte de certains constituants du combustible. Application : Incinération des sous-produits agricoles par exemple des raffles de maïs.
