1. Gas burner producing planar flames comprising a burner body (2) having an interior which widens in a diffusor like manner, an annular air supply channel (4) and a gas supply pipe (3) arranged coaxially within the air supply channel (4) gas nozzles (14) being formed at the head part (13) of the gas supply pipe and being directed into mixing grooves (9) which extend helically at an angle to the axis of the burner and into which the air supply pipe (4) empties in an axial direction, and the inner ends of the mixing grooves adjacent the mouth of the air supply pipe (4) being axially inclined relative to the burner axis, characterised in that a swirl-inducer (5) is formed in the air supply pipe (4), in that starting from the opening position of the air supply pipe (4) the interior of the burner body (2) widens arcuately and the mixing grooves (9) are develloped on the internal surface (8) of the burner body (2), and in that the gas nozzles (14) incline radially and axially relative to the burner axis.

Flachflammen-Gasbrenner, vor allem zur Heizung von industriellen Öfen, der im breiten Leistungsbereich ohne Gefahr des Flammenabrisses bzw. des Zurückbrennens regelbar ist und auch bei geringer Leistung und mit Luftvorwärmung auf hohe Temperatur eine flache Flamme erbringt. Der Gasbrenner weist einen Luftzuführkanal (3) mit einem Drallgeber (5), ein Gaszuführrohr (3) und einen Brennerstein (2) auf, in dessen seinen Innenraum begrenzende Innenfläche (8) im Winkel zu der Brennerachse spiralförmig nach außen verlaufende Vormischnuten (9) eingearbeitet sind, in welche auf dem Kopfteil des mit dem Brennerstein (2) achsgleichen Gaszufuhrrohres (3) radial und axial zur Brennerachse geneigt angeordnete Gasdüsen (14) gerichtet sind, die vorzugsweise in die Vormischnuten (9) hineinragen.
