[origin: US4525992A] The present invention relates to a process for covering an elastane yarn stretched by three to five times, with a covering yarn, characterised in that it consists: in a first phase, in covering the drawn elastane yarn with the covering yarn with a twist of the order of one third the usual twist of single-covering, and in receiving this covered yarn on a bobbin, then, in a second phase, in taking up this bobbin of covered yarn on a twisting member to communicate thereto an additional twist until a twist which is equal to the usual twist of single-covering is obtained on this yarn.

Procédé de guipage d'un fil élasthane (3) tendu de trois à cinq fois par un fil (7) enrobant, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste: - dans une première phase, à guiper (6-4) le fil d'élasthane tendu (3) par le fil enrobant (7) à une torsion de l'ordre du tiers de la torsion usuelle de simple guipage et à réceptionner ce fil guipé (12) sur une bobine (10); - puis dans une deuxième phase, è reprendre cette bobine (10) de fil guipé (12) sur un organe donneur de torsion (20-24) pour lui communiquer une torsion complémentaire jusqu'à obtenir sur ce fil (12-31) une torsion égale à la torsion usuelle de simple guipage.
