1. Taphole device for the casting of fused metallic or non-metallic materials comprising two cylinders (A, B) having parallel axes and one common contact line and being rotatable around their axes in opposite directions relative to each other, each of the cylinders (A, B) having one groove (10) with a varying cross section extending each along a part of the circumference of each cylinder and the cylinders being positioned in a face-to-face alignment, so that the two grooves (10) cooperate to form a symmetrical opening with respect to the line of contact of said cylinders, characterized in that it includes means for sealing the cylinders with respect to one another as well as attachment means (1 and 2) and sealing means with respect to the vessel containing the molten material.

Un dispositif de trou de coulée destiné essentiellement à la coulée de matières en fusion comporte deux cylindres (A, B) à axes parallèles et mobiles autour de leurs axes respectifs, ayant une ligne de contact commune. Du moins l'un des cylindres (A, B) comporte une rainure (10) qui s'étend le long d'une partie de la circonférence du cylindre et dont la section varie le long de ladite circonférence de manière à passer par un maximum. L'autre cylindre peut présenter une surface lisse. Lorsque les deux cylindres comportent chacun une rainure, ces dernières peuvent présenter un profil identique. Pour obtenir une ouverture circulaire on donne aux ralnures des profils pseudo-elliptiques. Le dispositif comporte des moyens permettant d'entraîner les deux cylindres de manière synchrone en contresens l'un par rapport à l'autre, ainsi que des moyens permettant de presser les deux cylindres l'un contre l'autre le long de leur ligne de contact.
