[origin: US4420557A] Compounds corresponding to the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R1 represents an aromatic group, and R2 represents H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or acyl, are suitable ED precursor compounds for use in color photographic recording materials. They are preferably used in combination with reducible dye releasers. They are also suitable as so-called scavengers.

Verbindungen der Formel <IMAGE> worin R¹ eine aromatische Gruppe; und R² H, Alkyl, Alkenyl, Aryl oder Acyl bedeuten, sind geeignete ED-Vorläuferverbindungen für die Verwendung in farbfotografischen Aufzeichnungsmaterialien. Bevorzugt werden sie in Kombination mit reduzierbaren Farbabspaltern verwendet. Sie eignen sich auch als sogenannte Scavenger.
