Zweck der Erfindung ist es, lackgebundene umsponnene Rund- und Profildrähte und Litzen auf besonders wirtschaftliche und umweltfreundliche Weise herzustellen. Entsprechende umsponnene Drähte und Litzen werden vorteilhafterweise in einer Extrusionsvorrichtung durch Imprägnieren mit teilkristallinen oder amorphen thermoplastischen Polykondensaten in einem Arbeitsgang erhalten.
