Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0080197A1] 1. A plastics trough which is shaped like a truncated pyramid and has an edge reinforcement consisting of a tube which is embedded into the plastics material and which in the region of the narrower side walls is bent at an obtuse angle the apex of which points upwardly, and which pipe is exposed by means of two handle apertures in the region of the apex, characterized in that the plastics material used for the integrally produced plastics components of the trough is a polyolefine ; that the walls (1) produced from the polystyrene, at least at the longitudinally extending walls, are extended through an external curve as a downwardly extending wall portion (19) in the form of a flange, so that the trough wall (1) and the wall portion (19) which forms the flange extend parallel to one another or form an acute angle ; that between the trough wall (1) and the wall portion (19) which forms the flange a plurality of transverse ribs (21) are arranged, the lower edges of which are in alignment with the lower edge of the wall portion (19) which forms the flange and lengthwise run parallel to the base of the trough ; that the edge reinforcement, made of two similarly shaped tube parts (4), is connected in the centres of the longitudinal sides (1) by two sleeves (5) which are slipped over, or rods or tubes which are inserted ; and that, at the edge of the handle apertures (7), there are arranged short ribs (8) which extend downwardly in the vertical direction.
