1. A central heating installation with two energy sources comprising a closed circuit of a heat transfer liquid circulating between a boiler and a plurality of radiators distributed over the various parts of the building to be heated, according to which installation at least one radiator is equipped with an electrical heating element (2) disposed in the lower collector of the radiator, said installation being characterized in that said radiator comprises in its upper collector (1b) means for compensating thermal expansion (3) including an elastically deformable wall (32) limiting an inner chamber (48) immersed in the heat transfer liquid and provided with means (33) for causing its volume to communicate with the surroundings outside said radiator.

Installation de chauffage central bi-énergie comportant un circuit fermé d'un liquide caloporteur circulant entre une chaudière centrale et une pluralité de radiateurs répartis dans les différents locaux à chauffer, installation selon laquelle au moins un radiateur est équipé d'un élément électrique chauffant (2) placé dans le collecteur inférieur (1a) du radiateur et caractérisé en ce que ledit radiateur comporte, dans son collecteur superieur (1b) un dispositif à compensation de dilatation (3) comprenant une paroi déformable (32) delimitant une chambre intérieure (48) à volume variable, immergée dans le liquide caloporteur et pouvue de moyens (33) pour sa mise en communication avec le milieu extérieur audit radiateur. L'invention s'applique tant aux installations de chauffage nouvelles, qu'existantes et permet de moduler sélectivement le chauffage aux besoins de façon à pouvoir réaliser des économises d'énergie sans pénaliser le confort thermique des locaux à chauffer.
