[origin: US4437770A] A timepiece (1) contains a movement (2), topped by a dial (3) and housed in a casing (4) of a watch case. A crystal (5) is located over at least a portion of its periphery against the upper edge (6) of the casing. The edge (6) has a surface inclined (7) toward the inside of the case and defines with the opposite surface of the periphery of the crystal and with the outer edge of a riser (8) placed on the circumference of the dial (3) a housing in which a gasket (9) is deformably held.

La pièce d'horlogerie (1) comprend notamment un mouvement (2) surmonté d'un cadran (3) et logé dans la carrure (4) d'une boîte de montre, et une glace (5) appliquée au moins sur une portion de sa périphérie contre le bord supérieur (6) de la carrure. Le bord (6) présente une surface inclinée (7) vers l'intérieur de la boîte et définit avec la surface en regard de la périphérie de la glace et avec le bord extérieur d'un réhaut (8) placé sur le pourtour du cadran (3) un logement qui reçoit un joint d'étanchéité (9).
