A wrist-watch case middle with an unscratchable caseband, characterised in that its caseband (14) is provided with protruding protective elements (16, 17, 18; 32) made of practically unscratchable material and which when viewed in section in a plane that is co-axial or parallel with the axis of the middle (1, 28) and perpendicular to the case-band (14) thereof, have at least approximately the shape of a circular segment slightly in excess of 180 degrees, the mean portion of the segment of each of said elements being engaged over at most 180 degrees and fixed in a correspondingly shaped recess (15, 29) formed in the caseband (14) of the middle (1, 28).
