Dispositif de saisie, de traitement et de contrôle de tous titres de paiement (3, 5, 6) comportant: - une zone de traitement (2) effectuant: endossage, lecture du RIB, post-marquage et édition des formules de chèques (3), - une zone de traitement (4) des cartes mangétiques (5) et des cartes à mémoire (6) assurant leur mise en place, bloquage et lecture du RIB, - un système de contrôle de la recevabilité des titres à partir de leur RIB, vérifiant la non-opposition, par interrogation à distance d'un fichier central (12) à l'aide d'un MODEM (13) connecté à un réseau de communication (14), par consultation d'une mémoire de masse (10), et l'identité de l'émetteur par comparaison entre un numéro d'identification fourni par le fichier central (12) et un code communiqué en 17 par l'émetteur. - un système de mise à jour des comptes inscrivant l'image des transactions sur la mémoire de masse (10), adressée régulièrement au site central (12) pour régularisation des comptes.
