Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a picker device including two pickers (3) movable between two positions under the action of the motion of needle or slider butts (6). To avoid that after a needle has been excluded from knitting the respective picker (3), in moving back into its home position, may rub continuously against the butts (6) left in the knitting track, the pickers (3) are each provided with a lug (16) remote from the working end, and two contoured levers (18, 19) are provided having each a hooked end (18a, 19a) for blocking a respective picker (3) in the high position thereof through the respective lug (16). The picker (3) is released upon actuation of the other picker (3) by the needle or slider butts (6). The related lug (16) causes the levers (18, 19) to diverge, which results in the first picker (3) being released and the second picker (3) being blocked. Instead of two levers (18, 19) it is possible to provide a single lever having adequate shaped ends.
