On the periphery of the frame (1) of the manhole there are three bearing surfaces which are at 120 DEG relative to one another and of which two are ramps (7) inclined circumferentially in the same direction and one is a plane rest (5). Three interposed counter-rests consist of an oblique vertical stop (6) located between the two ramps and of two radial overhanging downward counter-rests (10). The cover has six respectively associated surfaces. It is placed askew, plane rest on plane rest, then it descends helically, encounters the stop (6) and is returned up against the downward counter-rests of the frame. <IMAGE>

Sur la périphérie du cadre (1) sont prévues trois surfaces d'appui à 120° les unes des autres, dont deux rampes (7) inclinées circonférentiellement dans le même sens et un appui plan (5). Trois contre-appui intercalaires sont constitués par une butée verticale oblique (6) située entre les deux rampes et par deux contre-appuis descendants (10) radiaux et en surplomb. Le tampon comporte six surfaces respectivement associées. On le pose de biais, appui plan sur appui plan, puis il descend hélicoïdalement, rencontre la butée (6) et est renvoyé sur les contre-appuis descendants du cadre.
