[origin: EP0083514A1] A method of injecting liquid fuel to an engine (120) comprising delivering a quantity of fuel into a conduit and propelling the fuel along the conduit by gas under pressure, and discharging the fuel from a fixed size constantly open nozzle (18) into an engine induction passage, the pressure and quantity of gas being sufficient to cause the fuel to issue from the nozzle at or near sonic speed.
