Abstract (en)
An electrical connector (32) for interconnecting overlapped flap multiconductor cables (12, 30) includes a centerbody (38) adapted to be seated in a hole (40) extending through registered cable conductors. The centerbody (12, 30) has first contact fingers (42) extending from one end thereof and second contact fingers (44) extending from the opposite end thereof. Both sets of contact fingers have insulation piercing ends (42d, 44c) for electrically engaging the cable conductors, upon crimping, at mutually spaced locations coaxial with the centerbody (38).
