[origin: EP0083550A2] The unit has a box (1) which is U-shaped in plan view and constructed as a hollow profile having a thermal insulation packing. This box contains a cylinder (12), on which the roller shutter or blind member (2) is wound and guide rails (3) for said member being mounted on its arms (13b, 13c). Fixed on the roller shutter or blind member are tensioning bands (6) which are wound onto a cylinder (4) running along the upper margin of the box web and thus serve for pulling up or lowering the roller shutter or blind member. Located on either side of the cylinder (12) on which the roller shutter member is wound are tensioning springs (15) which effect the rolling up of the roller shutter member. This results in a cost saving both in manufacture and installation. <IMAGE>
