1. Process for taking up a tow of fibrous material having little or no cohesion downstream of said material wet-process station, characterized by the exclusive use of a single pneumatic means (1) for twisting and drawing said tow (13) of material, said means consisting in directing onto the tow at least one air jet oriented substantially tangentially with respect to the tow and substantially inclined with respect to the direction of forward movement thereof.

On reprend une mèche de matière fibreuse ayant peu ou pas de cohésion en aval d'un poste de traitement humide de ladite matière, en utilisant exclusivement un moyen pneumatique unique pour tordre (1) et tracter (1) ladite mèche de matière (13), puis avantageusement pour projeter celle-ci sur un dispositif de transfert (6). Ledit moyen est constitué par un conduit de défilement (8) de la mèche (13) dans lequel débouche une alimentation en air comprimé (9) tangentielle par rapport audit conduit (8) et substantiellement inclinée par rapport au sens d'avancée (10) de celui-ci. Ledit moyen peut comporter un dispositif d'autonettoyage (15,16) constitué par deux gouttières (15-18; 15-19) qui joignent un point d'alimentation en eau (16) respectivement à l'entrée (18) et à la sortie (19) du conduit (8). Ce procédé convient notamment à une installation de filature de lin au mouillé sans torsion ou à une installation de filature sans torsion par encollage de mèche.
