Bei einer Lasermikrosonde mit einem Pulslaser zur Anregung von Proben (1) und mit einem eine Flugstrecke (4) umfassenden Flugzeit-Massenspektrometer (4, 5) ist der Flugzeitstrecke (4) ein Elektrodensystem (9) vorgelagert, welches der Formung eines zeitlich definierten Ionenpulses aus dem durch die Anregung der Probe (1) entstehenden Plasma dient.
