A helical retaining spring (1) for the operating tool, for example for the bore bit, of a compressed gas tool, in particular a compressed-air driven small chisel hammer (20), comprising a part (3) associated with the tool cylinder and a part (2) joined to the said part (3) and associated with the operating tool, at least one region (4, 4a) of at least one of the turns of the retaining spring having a substantially chord-shaped form. characterized in that at least one preferably the last turn of the part (3) --associated with the tool cylinder (10) --of the retaining spring (1) which holds, where appropriate with its part (2) associated with the operating tool, a holding cap (15) through which the said operating tool or its shaft (12) passes, has the region or regions (4, 4a) which has or have a substantially chord-shaped form and which can be brought into engagement with at least one appropriately shaped recess (16, 17) in the sleeve of the tool cylinder (10).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Halteschraubenfeder (1) für das Arbeitswerkzeug, beispielsweise für den Bohrmeissel, eines Druckgaswerkzeuges, welche einen dem Werkzeugzylinder zugeordneten Teil (3) und einen daran anschliessenden, dem Arbeitswerkzeug zugeordneten Teil (2) aufweist, und mittels welcher gegebenenfalls eine vom Arbeitswerkzeug bzw. dessen Schaft (12) durchdrungene Halteklappe (15) gehalten ist, wobei zumindest ein Bereich (4, 4a) zumindest einer der Windungen der Haltefeder im wesentlichen kreissehnenartigen Verlauf aufweist. Um unter Ausnutzung der Abflachung(en) bzw. der Ausnehmung(en) am Mantel des Zylinders eine bei der Montage handhabbare und dennoch absolut verdreh- und lockerungssichere Verbindung von Arbeitswerkzeug und Werkzeugzylinder zu schaffen, ist vorgesehen, dass zumindest eine vorzugsweise die letzte Windung des dem Werkzeugzylinder (10) zugeordneten Teiles (3) der Haltefeder (1) den Bereich oder die Bereiche (4, 4a) mit im wesentlichen kreissehnenartigem Verlauf aufweist, welcher bzw. welche mit zumindest einer entsprechend geformten Ausnehmung (16, 17) im Mantel des Werkzeugzylinders (10) in Eingriff bringbar ist bzw. sind.
