[origin: WO8300438A1] Improvements in disposable items, particularly self-destructing or otherwise automatically non-reusable hypodermic syringes having a self-destructing element (67) which is actuated during the injection stroke of the piston. The invention provides an upper stop member (1A), generally provided by a plate with a circular hole having a diameter permitting withdrawal of the plunger (25) but not the piston and also a cylindrical protuberance (68) adjacent the injection end of the cylinder and extending beyond the cylindrical wall (20) so as to shield the fingers of the user from a self-destructing pin (67) forced through the bottom wall of the cylinder under completion of the injection stroke. A cover plate for said cylindrical protuberance having an interior hole for the injection needle is also shown.

Améliorations apportées à des articles jetables, en particulier des seringues hypodermiques auto-destructibles ou automatiquement non réutilisables ayant un élément d'auto-destruction (67) qui est actionné pendant la course d'injection du piston. L'invention décrit un organe supérieur d'arrêt (1A), constitué d'une manière générale par une plaque ayant un trou circulaire d'un diamètre qui autorise le retrait du plongeur (25) mais non celui du piston ainsi qu'une projection cylindrique (68) adjacente à l'extrémité d'injection du cylindre et s'étendant au-delà de la paroi cylindrique (20) de manière à protéger les doigts de l'utilisateur contre une pointe auto-destructible (67) passant de force au travers de la paroi de fond du cylindre en bout de la course d'injection. Une plaque de couverture de cette saillie cylindrique ayant un trou intérieur pour l'aiguille d'injection est également illustrée.
